Vajra Gaṇeśa Mandira in Lāchi Ṭola, Balambu rests on a rectangular base and faces west. Open on three sides, the temple's roof is supported by twenty wooden columns. It is very likely that this monument was previously a phalcā and only later converted into a temple.

Such a possible conversion might have had various reasons that would warrant further research. It is well known that not just the shape and configuration but also the use of buildings are sometimes changed over time. This makes it especially important to continuously document cultural heritage, both in its tangible and intangible aspects, since without proper records, the historical origins and transformations will be lost
