One-day Workshop 'Heritage Dynamics in Kathmandu Valley'

The Nepal Heritage Documentation Project organised a one-day workshop titled 'Heritage Dynamics in Kathmandu Valley' on July 15, 2022. It included talks by Dr. Monalisa Maharjan, heritage scholar and activist, and a consultant for NHDP on the case of reconstruction of the Samay Phalcā (DANAM ID: LAL4317) and by Bharat Maharjan, the project's representative in Nepal, about the history and his work on the Kiritpur Bharaiva and the process of commissiong a mask to installing it. The workshop concluded with a lively and fruitful discussion about revitalising tangible and intangible heritage. It was also a great opportunity for team members of the different Nepal-based projects in Heidelberg to come together in-person after more than two years.
